Simple Steps Towards Halal Certification
Halal Certification Process by Halal Research Center (HRC)
1. Application Submission
Clients initiate the process by filling out the HRC Halal Certification Application Form, providing detailed information about their company and the products intended for Halal certification.
2. Proposal Acceptance & Fee Submission
After reviewing the application, HRC shares a proposal outlining the certification scope, terms and conditions, and fee structure. Upon acceptance, the client signs the agreement and submits the certification fee along with the Halal Mark usage undertaking.
3. Ingredient & Material Evaluation
HRC’s technical and Shariah team evaluates all raw materials, ingredients, and packaging components to verify their origin, production process, and compliance with Islamic Shariah. If needed, laboratory testing is performed to ensure Halal authenticity and traceability.
4. Stage-1 & Stage-2 Audits
HRC auditors conduct on-site audits in two stages at the production facility. These inspections include reviewing raw material handling, production processes, packaging, storage, hygiene, and the overall Halal Management System to ensure full compliance with recognized Halal standards.
5. Certification Decision
Audit findings, including corrective actions and evidence submitted by the client (if applicable), are presented to HRC’s independent Certification Decision Committee for a final decision.
6. Halal Certificate Issuance
Once approved by the committee, HRC issues the official Halal Certificate, authorizing the certified products and processes to carry the Halal Research Center certification mark.
